This was emailed to me and, rather than email it around, I figured it should go in YouTube. The video is shot from the air-traffic control tower of a massive Russian (or Ukrainian I am now told) plane taking off from Canberra 'International' Airport. Listen to the commentart from the ATCs - the plane only just makes it off the ground, using 101% of the available runway space.
This video was launched at ALC's Parliamentary Function at Parliament House, Canberra, on 21 June 2017. It outlines the importance of getting the content of the National Freight and Supply Chain Strategy right, both for the freight logistics industry and for the Australian economy as a whole.
The Canberra Oil Train service arrives at Tarago, NSW. This is one of the last few runs before cancellation of this service, leaving no freight being hauled to the Nations Capital. The train arrives into Canberra and Departs Canberra on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and provides fuel for Shell. The day this was taken was windy, and quite cool for a summers day. Taken with a Sony Cybershot DSC-TX1

This is the video I took of 6029 and 3016 returning south to Canberra after the Maitland steamfest. They were lead by two GL classes. Sorry the video is a bit shaky! Just a heads up, I won't be uploading anything for about two weeks as I am going away on holidays! Although when I come back I promise to upload some videos! I stop in Brisbane so hopefully I can get something from there as well. Enjoy! Filmed 11/4/2016
Here is a slide show of trucks that I drove when I worked for for a Queanbeyan (near Canberra) based Co., for most of the 90's,Carting mostly returned pallets, produce and beer. This job gave me the oppurtunity to see lots of Australia, and gain experience in driving different makes and models of trucks, carting a large variety of different freight, to any city. I started there in the cabover Kenworth which had a 8V 92 GM (440 HP) and an 9 speed road ranger, gear bound to 105 kmh, nice old truck, engine failure put it of the road for awhile. The LTL had a "tuned" 444 cummins with a 13 speed and went exceptionally well, not many trucks then could get around it on a hill, even if they where light, but GEEZ it was rough to ride in, and no air cond. The little S Line was a bit underpow...
Tomorrow I fly to Canberra and the start of my solo ride back to Adelaide, a distance of some 2000km. Today though, I have to pack the bike and all my gear ready for air freight. Music: bensound.com More info: http://blokeonbike.com

This video on inland rail was premiered at the Australian Logistics Industry Parliamentary Function on 24 June 2015 at Australian Parliament House. This Function brought together key parliamentarians and senior industry representatives to discuss how inland rail will support the national freight task and what steps need to be taken to deliver this important infrastructure project.

After participating in the 2016 Hunter Valley Steamfest, trains from the ARHS, Canberra, LVR & Transport Heritage headed home from Maitland. We first see the ARHS train after climbing Cowan Bank, with GL106, GL102, 3016 & 6029 hauling the train back to Canberra. Followed by freight train 4190 lead by PHC002 & PHC001 from the Crawford's siding at Sandgate to Botany. Lastly comes LVR & Transport Heritage, with LVR Steam locomotive 5917, THNSW diesel loco 4520 & THNSW Steam locomotive 3642 on the rear. One of Australia's largest cranes had to be constructed on Nelson Pier to undertake the heavy lifts for the LHD project. Block 811 was transported along the hull of the first Landing Helicopter Dock, in preperation to be lifted into position, on a giant remote control platform In May of 2006 the Royal Australian Navy announced its decision to expand its naval expeditionary capabilities. HMAS Manoora and Kanimbla would be replaced with substantially larger and more capable modern designs, featuring strong air support. Navantia and Tenix offered a 27,000t Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) design that resembled the Strategic Projection Ship (Buque de Proyeccion Estrategica) under construction for the Spanish Navy.
http://verydirtycarpet.com/stain-remover/ Based on 20 years experience in the carpet and upholstery cleaning industry, Peter MacDonald has used his customers experiences to develop a Carpet and Upholstery Stain Remover that is a powerful concentrated, fast acting product that won't leave a sticky residue. Not leaving a sticky residue means that you won't get any dirty marks reappearing, caused by the cleaner itself, which is a major problem with many cleaning solutions. Effective on a wide variety of stains like , coffee, pet stains, pet odours, grease and oils, make up stains, general grime and food stains. To be safe on the carpet and upholstery, Verydirtycarpet.com have avoided using Active Oxygen because of the risk of bleaching, so it is not designed for colour stains like cor...
